FAQ's

Welcome to the WayMaker “digital porch.” Below are answers to the most common questions about how we partner together to move your life from a season of endurance to one of authentic, flourishing joy.

While these paths often overlap, they serve distinct purposes in your journey:

  • Counselling typically focuses on "fixing what is broken" by looking at the past to find healing for clinical mental illness or trauma. With my 15+ years of clinical experience, I respect this boundary deeply; however, WayMaker is a coaching practice, not a substitute for therapy.
  • Mentoring is often a "follow me" approach, where a more experienced person provides a blueprint based on their own specific life path.
  • Coaching is future-focused and solution-oriented. We focus on where you are now and where you want to be, identifying the unique potential within you to help you thrive in the life you’ve been given.

"Normal" or secular coaching often relies solely on human effort and self-improvement strategies. While we use practical, solution-focused tools, Christian coaching invites the Holy Spirit into the coaching space as the vital element for success. We lean into the promises of Scripture and "Kingdom Culture" to anchor your identity, believing that true transformation comes from God’s wisdom rather than just our own productivity.

You can expect a safe, non-judgmental, face-to-face environment where you are guided to explore your sense of self to bring out your potential through:

  • Tangible Actions: Every session concludes with specific, practical steps to restructure your "living space"—your time, energy, and matter.
  • Direct Access: Between sessions, you have access to me for focused guidance via 5–10 minute check-ins to maintain your momentum (not applicable for Faith Anchored Identity).
  • A "Light Load": We move away from the pressure to perform, leaning instead into Jesus' promise that His yoke is easy and His burden is light.

Yes. WayMaker Coaching prioritizes local trust and sensory authenticity within a dedicated, sacred physical space in Mawson Lakes.

  • The Foundation: To allow me to truly understand you and your story, the first three sessions must be conducted face-to-face.
  • The Preference: Face-to-face (F2F) is always preferred for our entire journey. Choosing to physically show up for yourself is a powerful act of commitment that fosters the deep connection necessary for permanent change.

If you feel you are merely "getting through the day," "drifting," or "wasting time," then yes. You don't need to be in a crisis to benefit; you just need a desire to align your daily actions with your values. Whether you are a "second-generation Christian" wrestling with identity or someone simply looking for a faith-anchored path forward, this is a space for you to stop surviving and start becoming who you were made to be.
